Balak Palak is a recent marathi movie released in 2017 and was directed by Kakul Amale. This movie revolves around How A Man's Neighborhood Co-Opts His Wife To Get Revenge On Him. A man (Nandu) comes home with a new wife, only to find out that she is not actually very interested in him or his neighborhood co-opting activities when she tells him that she wouldn't work for the co-op even if they paid her and would rather be in his office instead of theirs. The man gets angry and decides to tell the other members about this, but before he does, he has to make sure they aren't all trying to get revenge on him for something too. This film was well received by the critics and also did well in the box office. The film has 5 songs and 2 remixes in it. The films was released on 1 February 2017 and did a decent business in the theaters. The films 's lyrics were penned by Samir Jadhav, Shrirang Godbole and Avdhoot Gupte and music was scored by R D Burman's son "Tanishk Bagchi". All songs together have been downloaded over 250000 times from various sources including iTunes , Gaana , Saavn, Hungama etc.. The film was a well received by the audience and the critics. In 2017, director Kakul Amale won Sanadya Gaurav award from Marathi Cineyug for this movie for Best Marathi Director.
